The final Quarter Final of the Concacaf Gold Cup takes place on Sunday evening with The United States taking on Jamaica. The United States were one of the two short odds favourites for the tournament before it started along with current money on favourites Mexico, but a shock defeat to Panama in the Group Stages(their first ever group stage defeat in the Gold Cup) has thrown things into disarray. The media is not only hounding the team who have failed to reach the heights of last summers World Cup but they are pretty much calling for the head of Coach Bob Bradley which is ridiculous. Look its simple the United States have a group of players who work hard for each other and are hard to beat, personally I think the Panama game was a blip rather than a crisis and with home advantage I feel this team could go all the way to the final and who knows anything is possible in a final. With Tim Howard(Everton) Landon Donovan(Los Angeles Galaxy) Clint Dempsey (Fulham) Altidore (Villareal) they not only have great team players but they have experience and talent, the aforementioned are all plying their trade in Europe at the top level with the exception of Donovan who decided to stay with Galaxy where he and David Beckham seem to have an almost telepathic connection at times but Donovan easily could be playing in Europe with David Moyes and Everton among his many suitors.
